Kentona
The choice for photographers and printers seeking warm image
tones from a double weight fibre paper, Kentona offers superior quality.
Its specialist chloro-bromide emulsion has been formulated to give especially
deep warm rich blacks with a warmer base white, to complement the emulsion
characteristics. Tonal separation is superb, particularly low key work,
which particularly suits the paperÍs richness of image. The emulsion
is designed to be sensitive to both warm tone developers and various toning
techniques.
Kentona is the answer for the discerning image maker; striking results from
a strikingly different paper.
Kentona is a chloro-bromide paper with a double weight base, with a Glossy Unglazed surface.
Safelights
Open only in a darkroom, illuminated by safelights Ilford 902 or Kodak OC
containing 15W bulbs or equivalent. Red safelights may also be used. The
safelights should be at least one metre from the paper at all times and
good working practice of keeping exposure to safelight at a minimum should
be adopted. Unused paper should be returned to its original packaging for
storage.
Processing
Kentona can be processed in Kentmere VC Select Plus Developer and Fixer
with excellent results. Also suitable, in alphabetical order are: Agfa Neutol,
Champion B&W Multicontrast, Ilford Ilfospeed, Kodak Polymax and Tetenal
Variospeed developers, together with their recommended fixers. Equivalent
products from other manufacturers should also give similar results, as will
most high quality standard and multicontrast paper developers. Warm tone
formulations, such as Agfa Neutol WA, will intensify the warmth of image.

Surfaces
Glossy
The traditional unglazed glossy surface is particularly suited to portrait
and exhibition print work. A very high gloss can be achieved by standard
glazing techniques.
